Adventure in Aeldia
Step into a fantastical world with the Adventure in Aeldia readathon, where you can embark on an epic journey as a vibrant character. Hosted by the enchanting Book Roast on YouTube, this readathon invites you to dive into an imaginative realm of magic and adventure.
For this challenge, I'll be assuming the role of a magical witch accompanied by my charming companion, "The Little Snowman," a small white dog with mystical powers.
Be sure to check back monthly to follow our adventure and discover the magic of Aeldia. Don’t forget to watch Book Roast’s video below for all the details and get ready to join the fun!

January 2024:
Rely on your Physical Strength
We wake up in a dungeon, yeah we dont want to be here LOL As my magical companion aka "The Little Snowman" and I leave, we hit a crossroads! One Path will require strength, the other our wit
For this path I chose to rely on my strength: Therefore the challenge is to read a physical book!
My first physical read of the year is "Immortality" by Dana Schwartz.

February 2024: Go Towards & Fight an Animated Gargoyle
We next encounter an Animated Gargoyle during our travels. "The Little Snowman" and I were ready, we've been training for this! After a bit of fighting, we realize this gargoyle is misunderstood, scared from being awakened, and just needs a hug and answers. He lets us pass!
For this path, we must read a book with non-human characters. I chose "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" by J. K. Rowling for this prompt!

March 2024: Cut Your Way Through Wild Vines Blocking an Ancient Exit
Traveling through the wilderness we come across enchanted wild vines that block an ancient archway! Luckily we know spells to disenchant them! After they go limp we cut them away, and then "The Little Snowman" pees on them, he claims it's for good luck. lol
For this path, we must read a book neither 1st nor last in a series, and I chose "The Hawthorne Legacy" by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

April 2024:
Back to Orilium
It is April, meaning we are back to school for another semester of learning. In Orilium we all study and work towards our future career paths!
A break from adventuring means no book prompt! But in honor of my character going back to school, my reading dove head first into a magical wizarding world set in a magical school too! I read "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" & "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" by J. K. Rowling.

May 2024:
Extra Credit in Lore
In May my "The Little Snowman" (he insists on me saying his whole title) and I decided to go for extra credit in Lore, which means a lot of reading about histories, legends, and tales!
For this Path we must read a book with multiple 'L's in the title. For this prompt I read "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" by J. K. Rowling.

June 2024: Read about First Recorded Companions
After joining the extra credit studies of Lore, my first big assignment is to read about the first ever magical companion ever recorded! My little companion is especially excited to learn more (even though he claims he knows everything).
For this prompt I must read a book I have had for ages, I chose "Practical Magic" by Alice Hoffman.

July 2024: Befriend and Tame a Messenger Crow
In this month of July, we gain a new friend, a crow named Jet! Luckily the Little Snowman approves of this new friendship!
Jet says if we ever need to deliver a message, to visit the nearest postal tower and summon him! We can even stop by just for a visit! (I'll be sure to bring him a shiny gift every time)
For this prompt, we must read a friend's favorite, and I chose "The Reappearance of Rachel Price" by Holly Jackson. I've seen so many Booktubers and Bookstagrammers love this book! Click here for a blog post for this book.

August 2024:
Back to Orilium
In August we are back to studying in Orilium! It has been an eventful year so far, filled with mystery, horror, romance, and adventure! And all through my lectures and reading The Little Snowman has offered lots of support! This month is meant to give us a break, so that is what I'll do! I'll read for enjoyment as always and at my own pace, and then I'll post below what book I end up enjoying the most this month!
